Featured Wineries
Flying Dreams
Leroy Radford will be pouring two of his artisanal wines, and both will be available for purchase. Flying
Dreams sold out of their Malbec as soon as it was released, and they only have a few cases left of
their current releases, so grab them to add to your cellar or drink and enjoy right now! Current FDW
wines that are still available are: the Cabernet Franc and the Cabernet Franc reserve.
Well's Winery
A small boutique winery, Well's Winery creates natural fruit wine without added sulfites. Using only handpicked, naturally grown fruit and berries from the northwest along with raw organic sugar, they handcraft numerous varieties of wine.
Small Lot CO-OP
Small Lot Co-Op is dedicated to bringing small lot Washington Wines to everyone. The Co-Op is comprised of wineries within Washington State who produce less than 2,500 cases annually. Small Lot will be pouring the following wines from their stable of small producers:
2008 Willis Hall Pinot Gris
2008 Smasne Cellars Konner Ray White
2006 Farm Boy Riesling
2006 Lodmell Cellars Sublime
2006 Des Voigne Cellars Merlot, The Emcee
2005 Willis Hall Syrah, Stonetree Vineyard
Stina's Cellars
Winemaker Perry Preston from Stina's will be pouring a Sangiovese (2006), a Montage (2005) and a Chardonnay (2005).
Perry went commercial in 2006 after many years of winning awards at the Puyallup Fair. Production started at 700 cases annually and has increased to 1200 cases. Currently, Stina's Cellars produces 12 different wines from grapes grown in eastern & western Washington.
Scatter Creek Winery
Scatter Creek Winery, a family owned & operated winery, has been serving the Southwest Washington community of Tenino since March 2005. Specializing in a variety of handcrafted wines, from soft whites to bold reds and dessert wines, they were award winners at the "Capital Food & Wine Festival" in March, 2010 and won the Tasters Choice award, "Taste of the Market", in Olympia, 2010.
Tasters' Comments, from the May 15th Event
"The wine tasting was fantastic. We enjoyed the opportunity to try some new wines and even came home with a couple bottles. As always we had a wonderful time and look forward to next year!"
- Tim and Staci Lindstrand
"Congratulations to your staff, sponsors and wine makers for the fine wine tasting event on May 15th. I very much enjoyed the opportunity to taste the many fine artisan wines and meet the winemakers and vintners who produce them. "On the Road to Paradise" appears to have been a highly successful event and I hear you are planning a similar tasting on November 6th. I look forward to being there."
